About School Guardian 360

School Guardian 360 is an all-in-one school management platform built for Nigerian schools — attendance, scores, online report cards, fees, school–parent communication and AI-powered insights, designed to work even on low-bandwidth connections.

It is used by University Preparatory Secondary School (UPSS) and partner schools across multiple campuses, serving thousands of students, parents and staff. The platform brings teachers, parents and administrators into one system instead of scattered spreadsheets, paper registers and WhatsApp groups.

Who built it

School Guardian 360 is built by Joan Urevbu (also known as Joan Osunde), a software engineer and writer focused on EdTech for African schools. Joan works between Benin City, Nigeria and Porto Alegre, Brazil, building school operations software, parent-communication systems over SMS and WhatsApp, and tools designed for the realities of unreliable connectivity.

She also writes about invisible school systems, low-bandwidth product design, and how schools talk to parents one message at a time. Her work and writing are at joanurevbu.com.

What we believe

The best school software is invisible: it should make a teacher's Monday morning quieter, not louder. We build for the school gate, the last bar of signal, and the parent who just wants to know their child arrived safely and is doing well.
